Scheduling

When should I schedule my photography session?

I highly recommend that you schedule your session near sunset, about 3 hours before sunset is usually perfect. The lighting during this time of day is perfect and produces very nice skin tones. The worst time of day to schedule your shoot (or outdoor wedding) is at noon. This produces harsh shadows and unflattering pictures, but if that’s how it needs to be I have my ways to work around it and still make you look great.

How do I reserve my date for wedding photography?

If you decide on me as your photographer for your wedding I will ‘pencil you in’ until I receive the 50% initial payment with the signed contract.

Photos & Products

How many images will I have to choose from?

With portrait sessions you will be guaranteed a minimum of 50-100 high quality, fully edited photos to choose from. For weddings, you can expect to get around 50-75 photos per hour, it all just depends on the size of your wedding and how long I am there.

How soon will I get my photos?

Photos from your portrait session will be viewable 2 weeks after the date of the session. Once you place your order for prints and such, please allow 3-4 weeks, digital images can be received at the time of viewing. Due to the large amount of images done with weddings, please allow 4 weeks for all your photos to be delivered. Albums take longer for design and printing, so allow extra time for that.

Can I get photos in digital format?

Yes. I offer high resolution files but I strongly encourage you to look into prints.

Will I own the copyright to my digital images?

Any digital images that you buy from me will include a print release so that you are free to print them at any lab that you want.

Will I be able to see every picture that you take?

No, I only show and give you the good pictures. I may take many pictures of the same pose and sometimes you may have your eyes closed or you just don’t look right. Other shots are test shots and not of any pose and may not be in focus. I carefully take the time to decide which of many photos has the best focus and remove all duplicates and bad shots.

Payment

What types of payment do you accept?

I accept most major credit cards, checks, and cash.

Is sales tax required?

Yes, the state of Nebraska requires me to charge for sales tax on all services, digital images, and products.

What are your prices?

It depends on the type of photography you need and the products and digital images you want. I offer packages and a la carte pricing. Please contact me with some specifics of what you would like and I will send you some pricing PDFs.

Do you charge for travel time?

I regularly travel to Omaha, Council Bluffs, Columbus, Norfolk, Fremont, Lincoln and the surrounding areas. So I can and will travel a large radius with no travel or mileage fees. If you have a destination wedding or session, the travel fees will vary depending on where it is held.

Do you offer refunds?

Due to the unique nature of photos, I cannot offer refunds. If there is something physically wrong with a product, I can replace it. I will do my best to make sure you are 100% satisfied.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, I do. The packages, besides being cheaper than a la carte pricing, have different levels of discounts for add-ons.
