Great Sand Dunes National Park elopement | adventure elopement photographer in Colorado | Colorado wedding photographer
Jairus & Isabelle are quite the adventurous couple. They love to travel & have been to quite a number of different countries, Isabelle even studied abroad for part of her college years. Jairus even proposed to Isabelle at Iguazú Falls in Argentina, I mean, how beautiful is that location for a proposal! They met while she was in college, he happened to be working in the same area where she went to college & they met through mutual friends. He grew up around Colorado Springs so the Great Sand Dunes near Alamosa were a favorite choice for them.
They have been together for 5 years. Their Great Sand Dunes elopement was definitely an adventure! Although it doesn’t look that cold, the winds blew & it was cold! The winds blew so hard it was almost knocking us over & it whipped up a lot of sand from the dunes. We all got sand everywhere! It got in our hair, pants, hiking boot, & mouths. I even dropped my camera down one of the dunes! The views of the dunes with the mountains & storm clouds in the back were just incredible! I cannot wait to come back here for more scenic views.
With this Great Sand Dunes elopement in Colorado, I even got to design the florals! I was able to put together the floral crown, bridal bouquet, & boutonniere with locally sourced flowers & I even grew some of the orchids & greenery used.
If you love this winter elopement in Colorado, you’ll love this winter vow renewal in Rocky Mountain National Park!
