The Magnolia Market at the Silos is a very popular destination to visit if you’re going through Waco, Texas. If you’re going through, like I was on my way to Austin, I’d say it is definitely a place worth stopping by for a visit.
The first tip, & most important, is to go early or go late. I’d highly recommend going right as they open or just before they close. If you go right in the morning, you can usually beat the heat & beat the crowds. It is a popular destination & lots of people go there. Going at these times of day will help you avoid the crowds.
Second, don’t pay for parking. There are so many places around with $5 or $10 parking but you don’t need to pay for parking. There are lots with free parking near the Silos. There are also many free places to park all along the streets. Even if you go at a very busy time of day, you can still find free parking. Even if it is far away, there is a free Silo District trolley.
Third, make sure you get a cupcake from the Silos Baking Co! If you go right away in the morning, you’ll definitely have the best selection. You also won’t have to wait in line for as long. My personal favorite is the lemon lavender. It is sweet but not too sweet with a nice lavender flavor that isn’t too overpowering.
And my final tip is go there hungry & thirsty! There are a variety of food trucks & other vendors selling some good food. And they are always changing. If you’re traveling with a group, you can all go to different food trucks to try the variety of things they have to offer.
