Sunset Arches National Park Elopement

When Kristen & Patrick were planning their road trip throughout the western United States to tour some national parks, they decided to elope together in a new place. Whether you choose a new place to elope or you want to elope in a place that is already special to you both is a decision a lot of couples face when deciding on how to elope. What Patrick & Kristen chose (and what a lot of couple choose) is to pick a new location to elope, which then becomes a new very special place for both of you. Arches National Park is full of natural arches & a lot of people love the symbolism they find here. The natural arches also remind some of the decorate wedding arches you’ll sometimes see at weddings.

First Look at Sand Dune Arch

We were able to keep Patrick & Kristen separated before their first look with each other that took place in the little canyon where you can also find Sand Dune Arch. Patrick definitely started feeling some emotions as he saw Kristen all dressed up & looking great. It’s always such a special thing to be able to be one of the only people to be in person for couples like this & photograph these moments for them.

Sunset at the Windows Section

After exploring the little canyon & around Sand Dune Arch, we went to the Windows Section to Double Arch for their elopement ceremony in the park. We took some more photos around North Window & Turret Arch. Then they had a beautiful end to the day with a first dance by the light of a lantern. They made their day special in little ways like this & choosing a song to dance to in a new special place.

Looking to elope in Moab? Moab is one of my absolute favorite places, it’s so special & I’d love to share it with you. Over the years, I’ve come to know this desert inside & out, get in touch & let’s talk about your day!

“The day unfolded flawlessly”

“Working with Malachi from the beginning was incredibly effortless & easy-going. From the moment we met him via zoom it was evident that he was the perfect fit to capture our special day – there was no need to search any further! Our elopement plan was for Arches National Park in October 2023, & once revealing that to Malachi we could see his professionalism, experience, & drive begin to kick in. He was knowledgeable about the area & was able to point us in the right direction, offering invaluable insights & helping us align our vision with the perfect locations. When we met in person on our big day, Malachi adapted seamlessly to our laid-back approach, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the moment while choreographing our movements without being pushy, or demanding. The day unfolded flawlessly & it was due to his calm demeanor, genuine personality, & unparalleled expertise with his craft (which you could tell he was serious & in love with). Endless compliments from our family & friends poured in raving about our magazine-worthy photographs. If you’re looking for an elopement photographer & need someone who is kind, patient, professional, experienced, easy-going, & a cool dude, Malachi is 100% the right person for you.”
