Nate & Kelsey’s snowy engagement session at Loveland Pass | Breckenridge, Colorado wedding photographer |  engagement session in Colorado

Met Nate & Kelsey right at sunrise at the top of Loveland Pass on a sunny but very cold day in early spring. Even though we all dressed very warm, we had to go back to the cars & warm up a couple of times. In between shooting & warming up we even got to enjoy some mimosas. We couldn’t have asked for better weather, especially at this time of year. They’ve been together for 4 years & last summer they decided to make it official & get married. They’re from different areas but want to stay in Colorado for awhile. I mean, who wouldn’t? Colorado is great!

Loveland Pass in Colorado is one of my all time favorite locations for taking photos. It’s relatively easy to access, doesn’t require permits, & the views are just amazing! There are also a few trails around that take you further into the mountains of Colorado. You can wander on these trails & find areas with few people around & get different views of the surrounding mountain peaks. Because it is such a public area & very easily accessible with less oversight than areas such as national parks, we really have to do our part in practicing the principles of leave no trace. This area deserves to be treated with respect & preserved for the enjoyment of others.
