Telluride has some of the best wedding venues in Colorado & some of the best all around wedding vendors in Colorado! Keep in mind that some of these venues have food & beverage minimums in addition to the rental fees.

San Sophia Overlook
The San Sophia Overlook just above Telluride near Mountain Village is one of the most stunning little venues in Telluride! In the summer you can access it through Telluride’s free gondola & a walk out to the platform. In the winter it can still be accessed but you get to take a snowcat out to this beautiful wedding deck! San Sophia is only available for ceremonies & cocktail hours, receptions must be held elsewhere.
Keep in mind that this is a totally open outdoor venue, so watch the weather! We get a lot of rain during mid-afternoon during the summer in the San Juan Mountains. A grassy amphitheater surrounds the wedding deck & has a lot of space for guests. At this venue, they can also accommodate elopements & micro weddings in Telluride. This venue is one of the most sought-after venues in Telluride, so it’s best to be flexible with your date & contact them early in the planning process!

Gorrono Ranch
Gorrono Ranch is a beautiful venue in Telluride that offers both indoor & outdoor spaces within the same venue. There are great views of the Wilson mountain range & it is available in summer & winter. A mountain road is used to access the venue in summer with a snowcat sleigh available for shuttling people up in the winter.
This venue also has two separate, historic cabins available as getting ready areas for couples. The main lodge has a spacious layout with beautiful fireplaces that are perfect for warming up during those crisp mountain nights! At this venue, all linens, flatware, & glassware is provided. For food & alcohol, you must use the Gorrono Ranch venue for their on-site services.

Tomboy Tavern
Tomboy Tavern is located right within the Mountain Village core just a gondola ride away from Telluride. Tomboy Tavern is a reception venue & pairs great with San Sophia Overlook. These two are a short gondola ride away from each other. Tomboy Tavern is available seasonally for wedding rentals during the summer months & has an outdoor patio along with indoor seating.
This reception venue offers a large selection of wines from around the world, craft beers, & many unique cocktails. Tomboy Tavern has a good selection of crowd pleasers as well as unique dishes for your reception in Telluride. The venue has a contemporary style of a classic tavern & fits in well with many different wedding styles. If you’re a foodie, you’ll love the catering anywhere, but I especially love the food at the tavern for a good variety of good eats!

Alpino Vino
This Telluride, Colorado wedding venue is perfect for the wine lover! At Alpino Vino, they have a sommelier team to curate a special selection of wines at this unique wedding venue in the mountains. At an elevation of 11,966 feet, this restaurant is the highest elevation restaurant in North America. The deck makes a great space for an outdoor winter wedding in Telluride. At this venue, the deck overlooks Mount Wilson & is perfectly backlit at sunset. This is a smaller space for an intimate wedding with up to 24 guests.
Alpino Vino in Telluride is only available for winter weddings & elopements & is accessed by a snow cat. At this venue, they specialize in serving northern Italian fare along with their regional wine selection. This is a smaller, more affordable venue in Telluride that will still give you a luxurious experience for you & your guests. During clear winter nights, this wedding location is an amazing place to see the stars!

Allred’s Restaurant
Allred’s Restaurant is located right within the Mountain Village core just a gondola ride away from Telluride. Allred’s is a reception venue & pairs great with San Sophia Overlook since they are located right on the same mountain together. At Allred’s, you can view the surrounding peaks as well as the lights at night from Telluride. This venue in Telluride has floor to ceiling windows to allow you to really take in those views!
As on of the top restaurants in the area, you can rent out the entire restaurant for larger weddings for up to 130 people. Or you can rent out just the private room for micro weddings & elopements with up to 30 guests. Allred’s must be accessed by the gondola from either Telluride or Mountain Village & is located at the top of the gondola. The food at Allred’s Restaurant is a mix of local & regional cuisine. They also have a large, award-winning wine list with selections from around the world!

Lumière Hotel
The Lumière Hotel in Telluride has some of the most beautiful rooms with things like full kitchens, private hot tubs, & cozy fireplaces. I’ve been able to tour this luxurious hotel & let me tell you, staying here is always going to be an amazing experience! The staff is very friendly & accommodating, they can help you with all sorts of things to do around Telluride.
This hotel is available as a wedding venue & reception space for up to 40 people. They have some small outdoor patios & decks, as well as a bar & lounge area for a reception space. You can book the whole place or contact them for custom quotes depending on your needs.

Mountain Lodge Telluride
Mountain Lodge Telluride provides a beautiful setting for small weddings & elopements! As a more affordable small wedding venue, you can still get those amazing Telluride mountain views from the various spaces they have available. Three different spaces are available to rent here. You can book the poolside terrace, The View Bar & Grill, or the grassy knoll area. The Bar & Grill offers on-site catering & an indoor reception space for you & your guests.
This beautiful lodge is available as a wedding venue for ceremonies & receptions for up to 80 people depending on the space booked. The pool deck offers great views of the surrounding mountains & the gondola passes by right overhead. This affordable wedding venue in Telluride is very easy to access with parking close by, unlike some other venues that can require your guests to be shuttled in. Lodging is offered on-site if you wish to stay there. The lodge also partners with the Telluride Ski Resort to plan weddings up on the mountain.

The Peaks Resort & Spa
The Peaks Resort & Spa is a beautiful, contemporary style wedding venue in the mountains of Telluride. The Peaks Resort & Spa has three different areas available for use as a venue. There is the Mount Wilson Terrace, Altezza Deck, the Crystal Room, Legends Dining Room, Appaloosa Lounge, & Altezza Restaurant. The terrace & deck both offer great views of the mountains & their rooms are large, bright, & go well with any style of decor.
This Colorado wedding venue offers a lot of great on-site services so there is less for you to worry about! The Peaks Resort offers event planning services, catering for your event, a bar & bartenders, & the venue also has makeup artists & hairstylists right on-site! Setup, tables, chairs, dishes, linens, & more are also provided for your wedding reception. It is also a great place for you & your guests to stay for your wedding & they offer regular rooms as well as amazing suites & cabins for you & your guests to stay in. This venue also offers ski in & ski out access.

Aldasoro Ranch
Just about 20 minutes from Telluride, with amazing views of the mountains is the Aldasoro Ranch. Here they can accommodate up to 200 guests. They can also cater to elopements & smaller weddings of under 30 people. This newer wedding venue in Telluride has beautiful outdoor spaces as well as tent setups available for shelter.
Sleighs & wagons are also available at this venue! At Aldasoro Ranch, they allow for complete customization of your event through various tent setups. Various rental periods from half days to full weekends are available.

The Observatory at Alta Lakes
The Observatory at Alta Lakes is one of my favorite venues in the Telluride area. This historic cabin has a beautiful rustic interior & exterior with an amazing fireplace! This cabin can be accessed year-round but in the winter, snowmobiles are required unless you want to trek in with snowshoes or cross country skis. Keep in mind that in the summer, most vehicles can access the cabin, but the road can be rough at times so vehicles with a little clearance & sometimes 4WD can be helpful.
For booking this historic cabin, the price depends on the season & the number of guests. This little venue has a private lake with canoes & easy access to epic mountain scenery just a short drive from Telluride. The rental price also includes lodging for a select number of guests.

Wedding Venue at Dunton Hot Springs
Dunton Hot Springs isn’t quite in Telluride, but I had to include it in this list of wedding venues! The Dunton Hot Springs is a truly unique location for a wedding, there aren’t a lot of places that offer you your own private hot springs. This place is a little more remote & is located just over the mountains from Telluride, but takes about 2 hours to get there by car. These hot springs also don’t smell like some others do because these hot springs in Dunton lack sulfur which can give off an unpleasant odor.
This little hot springs resort is available as a wedding venue for up to 60 people. All meals, most alcohol, & lodging for you & your guests is included in the price. You can also get custom quotes for smaller events such as elopements with few or no guests. At Dunton Hot Springs, there is a whole camp for your guests to stay at. There is an outdoor chapel available for your use but you can also choose other locations throughout the property for your ceremony. The whole property offers great views of the mountains year-round.
